On June 28 and 29, the GEMINI project (Greening European Mobility through Cascading Innovation Initiatives) was officially launched in Potsdam, Germany.

Coordinated by the Urban Electric Mobility Initiative (UEMI), this Horizon Europe-funded project involves 43 partners and will run for three and a half years.

About the project

The GEMINI project aims to strengthen modal shift by demonstrating and promoting the adoption of new shared mobility services, active transport modes, and micromobility, integrating them with public transport through next-generation Mobility as a Service (MaaS) offerings. GEMINI will develop and test sustainable business models for New Mobility Services (NMS), including connected and shared autonomous vehicles, shared public transport solutions, and public-private partnerships, to expand sharing mobility options for businesses, families, and tourists.

Driving this transition toward climate neutrality are 8 GEMINI Mobility Living Labs (MLLs) located in Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Ljubljana, Munich, Paris, Porto, and Turin. These labs will engage local communities in the co-creation, development, and adoption of innovative mobility solutions with high impact, considering user acceptance, sustainability, and financial viability.

Within the project, Bluegreen leads Work Package 6: “Dissemination and Cascading Uptake.”
