With the support of Bluegreen, Nazena Srl secured over €750,000 in funding from Invitalia through the national Smart&Start program.
Nazena is an innovative startup founded to reduce the devastating impacts of fast fashion by managing daily production and post-production waste generated by textile companies.
Through textile fiber recycling, Nazena transforms industrial textile waste and used clothing into new products.
It offers a circular economy solution to drive innovation and sustainability in the fashion industry.
About the project
Specifically, Nazena has developed an innovative recycling and processing method for textile waste that enables the recovery of up to 100% of the textile fibers from treated garments. This process yields a durable material that can be molded into new products such as chairs, hangers, coverings, labels, packaging, displays, boxes, and a wide variety of other items—tailored to the needs of the client, often the same textile company or fashion brand that provided the waste.
Nazena’s material is produced through a patented process that ensures the recycling of textile fibers following an upcycling logic, giving waste a second life as valuable new products.
